SeatView started as a personal fix for a habit I couldn't shake at every conference I attended: snapping pictures of slides instead of actually listening.
For years I'd sit in the third row of conferences with my phone up, taking blurry photos of every slide because there was too much to absorb in real time. I told myself I'd review them later. I almost never did.
The realization hit after a talk I genuinely loved. A week later I opened my camera roll, scrolled past 40 screenshots, and couldn't remember what the speaker had actually said between them. The slides were there. The talk was gone.
That's the gap SeatView was built for. Scan a QR code when you sit down, follow along on your phone as the speaker advances, highlight the lines that matter, and leave with a personal PDF of the deck and your notes — already saved, already searchable. No more photographing. No more guessing what slide 14 was about.
The mission is simple: help people stay present during great talks and still walk away with everything worth keeping. If you've ever left a conference inspired and then watched that inspiration quietly die in your camera roll, this is for you.
